Debashish Bhattacharya Current Student, 03-Jul-2009Being a student of Digital Academy, I would like to share my experience with you. Basically, I am from Kolkata, which is far from Mumbai. After contacting them I was astonished by the prompt follow up from their side. Truly speaking, initially I thought it was their professional outlook that made them call me several times, but today I feel it is their heartfelt love for Cinema and the people who are interested with the Cinema Industry. I feel happy when I receive the same care and positive vibrations from faculties, support staffs as well as management till date. Frankly speaking, I was some sort of an anxious new comer in Mumbai. It was them who made me feel homely in Mumbai. Now, I have no doubt that it was my right decision to join Digital Academy and be a small part of it. Hope they will be with me with the same care and love in the future. At last---- put a step towards them, they will put two steps towards you.

Varun Srivastav Former Student, 02-Jul-2009I passed out from Digital Academy a few months back where i did the course in Direction. I am extremely happy to have chosen this school. They have great faculty who teach well. phenomenal infrastructure ( Almost some 40,000 sq ft of space ) , professional shooting floors , sound suites etc, good equipment . The management is genuinely interested in educating the students and they take a lot of effort to invite prominent professionals from the industry . We even had the privedge of attending a workshop by a guiness Book of World records holder Mr B P Singh who conducted a day long hands on workshop with a stedicam . It was awesome....What an experience !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Salil Fernandez Former Student, 26-Sep-2007My first venture into filmmaking, and what a disastrous experience! I had a lot of expectations from this school but it didn't come anywhere close. Honestly it was a real waste of my money... things got so bad that I started to enjoy every minute of my 30 minute journey there, only hoping that the journey would last all day! I could not relate with the faculty at all... as well as most of the students. I don't think there is any kind of creative or academic criteria to get in here... if you can pay, you get in. Eventually, I just stopped showing up for class and haven't bothered to even collect my certificate or watch the one film I participated as some kind of assistant on... the faculty took over direction and storytelling... so I really think the school is meant for them!

Subhadarshi Tripathy Faculty Member, 17-Sep-2007I am an industry professional and was a faculty at Digital Academy. First thing first, it is the MOST genuine attempt by any private body in India to start a film School in India. People who run the show here are very genuine and go all out to reach anyone who comes in contact with them. I had a wonderful experience working with Digital Academy and Im telling this despite being the business head of a direct competetion for a couple of years after Digital Academy.

rajesh Former Student, 03-Sep-2007Digital academy is the worst place to be in. It has no industry faculty. But still if you want to join this school its a waste of time.. I remember one thing whenever we used to go for class with much exitement to learn the asthetics of filmmaking, the faculty used to ask us " So what shall we do?" Arey we are students how can we tell what to do? and if no one spoke anything then nothing used to be done......

Sheeba Talreja Non-Academic Staff Member, 23-Jun-2004Digital Academy is a wonderful Film Shool. The faculty is v proffesional and freindly and are from the Film industry. Also the students are given excellent hands on on the latest equipment and machinery,The Ambience is very fresh and lively. The best part about this school is that the students are offered assistance in Placements, and are sent for interviews to different banners within the Film and Television industry, and placed under them.I would recommend all people interested in film making to join Digital Academy for professional training in Films.
