HungryFlix.com offers digital distribution for indie filmakers
By Brian Andrews | 21-Mar-2007
HungryFlix.com, the Internet's first distributor of premium, independent video content exclusively targeted to portable media players such as the Apple iPod and Sony PSP, is re-launching a live public beta.
HungryFlix.com is drawing video content providers from across a wide range of genres. The site accepts feature length and short films, documentaries, animation, how-to videos, sports videos and more. HungryFlix.com will provide independent producers with an online distribution source for their films.
Content providers set the prices of their downloads, so they're always in control of their revenue. HungryFlix.com handles all hosting, marketing and technical assistance issues. In exchange, the company takes only a 40% cut of the download price, meaning 60% goes directly into the content provider's pocket.
From the portable video player owner's perspective, HungryFlix.com's goal is to give the people what they want: the widest array of compatible video content. Membership is always free and downloads start at just $0.99! All content is compatible with the Apple iPod with Video, iTunes/QuickTime and the upcoming Apple TV.
Video content providers who would like to take advantage of internet distribution and the iPod craze can contact Brian Andrews via email at brian@hungryflix.com. iPod owners who are hungry for great content can register online at http://www.HungryFlix.com.
