The facilties have recently been refurbished (Summer 2004) and we now offer all our students, from first year undergraduate through to PhD, access to Avid Xpress Pro and DVCAM for their practice work. We have 40 workstations in two labs and 12 editing rooms linked to two Avid LANShare EX servers. Our TV studio has also been upgraded to provide a digital video process chain, which includes a Ross Synergy 2 Digital Production Switcher, three Ikegami HC400W cameras, an Aston Green caption generator and two DVCam DSR1500 decks.

The Undergraduate BA, is orintated more toward film as an Art, rather then narrative story telling, however I have seen some excellant narrative productions. The University is highly rated in research and teaching assesments. The only issue i have is that Avid editing suites are only used in the second year, in year one you use Adobes Prem. which means you loose allot of time, the facilities at the university are excellent...a brand new state opf the art sound system, sitting above a new studio...with new lighting facilities. Also the Campus is clean, plush, with a beautiful forest...what else could you expect from a University close to not one but two ferrari dealerships, well worth considering.
